I taught myself how to cross stitch in 94. I was pregnant with my second child Billy.
I was out of work and bored.
I had recieved this free leaflet and the accesories to go with it, so I gave it a shot.
I messed up a few times and had to start over but I caught on. Finished that then
decided to buy my first crossstitching book, I went crazy, there were so many pictures
that I loved and wanted to do, went and bought all kinds of floss, some I havent even
used yet...lol
I eventually decided I would make things as gifts for x-mas, I made a beautiful
one for my mother with bears, holly, and tinsle, it was so cute and took me several
months to finish. Well I finished that in say March and figured I would take a little
break from it, so not to get burnt out..lol. In September I decided to start one for my
step-mother, she loves tea and I had found the perfect one for her. It was so cute it
had four different types of teapots of it and lots of background,
little did I know it would take me four months to finish...lol.
I gave both gifts to my mom & step-mom that x-mas, they loved them.
After those 2 pictures I was burnt out, I took a break from it for awhile
but now I am back at it. I hope to scan some pictures of the work
