Let me tell you how it became that I love lady bugs. We moved into our first home in the summer, it was September 1st 98 to be exact. We were finding lady bugs everywhere, it really amazes me how many we would see in one day. At first I found them to be a bothersome, but I eventually got use to them being around. I started to think of them as part of the family...lol. After awhile we just left them alone, I mean the little guys could'nt be hurting anything, right?
Now we have a flower garden, and we dont see them as often as we use to. I actually kinda miss them...lol. I remember as a child I use to collect them in a jar and take them home, of course they would end of dying on me and I would have to have a funeral for them all. Oh how sad.. :(
Brooke is now 3 years old and I think the lady bug is the only bug I can convince her of that wont hurt her. I actually got her to hold one, of course it flew away and she was devastated. Now when she goes outside with the boys they look for worms and she looks for lady bugs. She calls them "Laly Bugs".
